Our Mission:
To maintain a network that will provide coordinated recovery efforts as a result of disasters on behalf, and for the benefit, of the residents of Calcasieu Parish.
Who We Are:
- More than 70 representatives from over 40 organizations working together to effect recovery
- Non-profit, faith-based, governmental organizations
What We Do:
The Calcasieu Long Term Recovery Group brings together and draws upon the combined strength of existing organizations and agencies that have been working to address the long term recovery needs of Caclasieu Parish.
It is the combined strength of this group that will enable the Calcasieu Parish area efforts to realize a more coordinated and effective approach to:
- Gain more momentum to increase recovery to address the unmet needs including repair, rebuild and construction
- Increase the utilization of (and housing) for skilled and unskilled volunteer labor
- Coordinate and seek resources that will accurately reflect and solicit funding and materials to address the broadcast range of needs
- Communicate an accurate story about the broadest range of activities in support of the long term recovery efforts
